Each major buying activity purchases supplies and services which support its own mission. Each buying activity is assigned a Small Business Specialist. This individual should be your contact for upcoming procurements and a source for counseling on small business matters at that particular activity. You should also contact and work with a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) near you who will help you win government contracts (see Step 9 for more details).
