Important small business government contracting updates

  1. Now that PRO-Net is integrated with the CCR, it is very important that you update your CCR profiles at least once a year. The CCR purges files that are not updated each year. A record dropped from CCR, will also be dropped from PRO-Net. NOTE: Information updated in CCR is not automatically updated in PRO-Net. Therefore, you need to go into your PRO-Net profiles and update them. While PRO-Net only requires updates every 18 months, the CCR's one year rule prevails, so update your PRO-Net profile at the same time. In other words update both CCR and PRO-Net at least once every 12 months.
  2. Small businesses interested in the high-tech world of the Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs, should check out their conference web site at: http://www.sbirworld.com/OH. The upcoming SBIR/STTR National Conference will be held in Cleveland this October.
  3. For those new to the GSA market, download the FSS’s first contractor-specific publication to offer tips for making the most of your schedule contract. Go to http://vsc.gsa.gov/ and download, The Steps to Success, How to Be a Successful Contractor.
